The use of chemotherapy in the abdominal cavity allows our surgeons to fight the tumour cells directly at their place of origin. This is either done with a warm solution as „Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy“ (HIPEC) or with a new method called „Pressurised Intraperitoneal Aerosol Chemotherapy“ (PIPAC).
A whole range of other treatment methods such as radiofrequency ablation (RFA), chemoembolisation or the local application of radioactive substances are used in addition to every other known, useful and promising treatment method in oncology.
